II. Syllabus Changes
III. All the Hype and Then Some . . .
Please sign up before you leave class today. Notice that there are two slots for Tuesday, September 17. Make sure that you do not present the same book.
- No class on Tuesday. Hello, convocation! By next Tuesday, choose the book that you want to read for "The Public Pedagogies of Black Feminisms Today" (click here)-- buy it or borrow it from Carmen soon. Plan to have that book read by Tuesday, September 17. Follow p. 11 of the syllabus for this assignment. We will spend one day of class on this text rather than two (two days was used to just spread out the course reading). This will count as two RRs (#4 and #5) but there is no need to write twice as much.
- When we see each other again on Thursday, September 12, come to class with RR#3 (see pages 10-11 of the syllabus). We are doing the Sankofa module that day (click here).
- As you will see, we just pushed everything on the syllabus back a day but are all caught up by 9/17.

The Next Theme: "How We Get Free": Theory Clapback with Black Feminisms |
Spend some time with the books that must be read by Tuesday, September 17 (click here). Decide if you will buy your own or borrow a copy in the room. Please return any book that you borrow. There may be post-it notes forgotten inside from other students. Go 'head, be nosy, and read them. We won't tell.
