Creating Artistic Responses to the assigned readings was extremely cathartic. I learned so much and felt compelled to produce pieces that were representative of Black girls' and women's experiences.

Over the course of the Black Feminist Pedagogies course I felt viscerally compelled to draft my reading responses in creative artistic forms. I descend from women who are artists... Whether it is stretching two chicken breasts to feed 6 people - That is MAGIC! Or having one black and white television that only works when its on its side - That is RESOURCEFUL! , or having to prioritize which bill was paid over another in order to ensure that lights are on at home - That is REALITY!
