Hi! Welcome to my #BlackGirlMagic portfolio.
Here you'll find: Black queer & trans fem/me poets, selfies, and a collection of resources at the intersections of #BlackGirlMagic and #DisabilityTooWhite
This semester has been personally challenging, as I've dealt with grief, ableism, and my ongoing allegiance to #TeamDoingTooMuch
Being an intersectional femme supremacist and educator means that I often butt up against institutional forms of discrimination, including the General Education director at CCNY cancelling my second section of my first-ever built-from-scratch syllabus. The startling realization that, as an adjunct, my livelihood is that tenuous was a disillusioned inception to the semester.
However, as I read more and more of my students' work, and as I got to come to this course every week, I slowly regained some of the confidence and stability (and girl power!) that I so desperately needed to finish the term strong.
Below, I've included some of my favorite #BlackGirlMagic music videos <3
