I strive make my research and my organizing as participatory as possible to amplify Black youths' voices as authentically as possible.
When we do this well, we silence the haters and change the narrative from one of damage towards one of strength for Black Youth in America.

* Activism * Scholarship *Loren Cahill is originally from Saint Louis, Missouri. She holds a B.A. in Africana Studies with a Minor in Education from Wellesley College and a MSW degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She is currently a Second Year Doctoral Candidate in the Critical Social Psychology program at the City University of New York’s Graduate Center. Her research interests include the liberation, radical imagination and healing of young people of color. Cahill serves How Our Lives link Altogether! (H.O.L.L.A) in the dual capacity of critical ethnographer and healing justice organizer. With over Nine years experience as a social justice advocate and educator, Loren strives everyday and over her career to facilitate and create spaces where youth feel both empowered and validated. Through critical reflective thinking and radical listening, Loren has been privileged to promote youth voice in a variety of settings including youth led programming, diversity consulting, and youth participatory action research.
