The Public Pedagogies of ​Black Feminisms Today

In this unit, we are going to read a set of books that are still hot off the presses.  These are all texts written by feminist authors inserting feminist history and language into the public sphere. By doing this, they bring us back to the roots of gender and feminist studies and activism: challenging and changing the world rather than merely writing about it for elite academic audiences. These books will include but are not limited to:

10. Making All Black Lives Matter: Reimagining Freedom in the 21st Century by Barbara Ransby
